Historical simulations have limits
Backtests are hypothetical. They can be affected by hindsight, model selection, data quality, survivorship and look-ahead bias. Market conditions, liquidity, spreads, fees, slippage, borrowing costs and taxes can cause live results to differ materially. Selected profitable examples do not show all losing trades or drawdowns.
